Introduction

In 2008 I got an assignment to support a transformation of the IT service in a major city in Sweden. It was the most common outsourcing deal, put together to reduce costs, and be able to focus on the core business. The change was mostly about starting up the IT operations at a supplier, including rebranding some personnel.

The manager was in my eyes was a bit unusual in requiring his submanagers

Current state

Agile Transformations is today rather hot. Consultants and managers are all over doing Agile transformations. In most cases it is large everything at once changes with lots of uncertainties. 

If lower costs are the main target many of them seen to succeed.

Lean-Agile principles

I am appalled to see how few leaders are backing Lean-Agile principles. In fact, they do not back any clear principles except; save much money as possible and I do what works for my Carrier.
